Executive Team
Robert Beasley, CEO
Robert is co-founder of ThisQuarter. He is responsible for strategic direction as well as development of ThisQuarter's service offerings. While at ThisQuarter, Robert has assisted U.S. and international companies in the areas of market assessment, strategy development, partner strategies and sales force optimization. Prior to founding ThisQuarter, Robert held executive leadership positions at several Fortune 500 and early-stage high-tech companies and consulting firms. Robert was Vice President of Sales at Computer Associates, a leading global enterprise software company, where he was recognized as a worldwide sales leader. He has founded and managed acquisitions for several companies. Navigating complex sales cycles with large organizations including Fortune 500, Global 2000 and government entities is one of Robert’s specialties. He has successfully developed and closed numerous multi-million dollar agreements with large, global companies and managed the cross-functional teams (sales, business development, technical, etc.) required to secure these agreements. He’s also been successful in generating revenue in the SMB market while developing and managing direct sales and channel sales organizations. Robert has successfully taken a number organizations – tech and non-tech – from conception to market penetration with a focus on developing effective sales and marketing strategies. An entrepreneur at heart, Robert thrives on making sense of chaos. Robert’s experience spans the globe. He has lived in Asia/Pacific and has driven strategic business alliances in nearly every region of the world. Robert is the developer of the Buyer Based Selling sales methodology and graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. in Marketing & Management.
Cody Carlson, Business Development
Cody is responsible for developing and managing ThisQuarter's strategic alliances and client relationships. Prior to joining ThisQuarter, Cody was the President of Stella Street Ltd.—a property management firm. Cody has served on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations and is the co-founder of True Bearing—a non-profit outdoor event organization. Prior to his business career, Cody was Quarterback of the Houston Oilers (now Tennessee Titans) from 1987-1994. He is a published author and graduated from Baylor University with a B.S. in Marketing/Management while earning All-Conference and All-America honors as a member Baylor's football team.
Rob McEwen, Marketing Specialist
Rob McEwen's marketing genius can be found in some of the most effective marketing campaigns executed by such notable high-tech companies as Dell, Dazel, Candle, Sterling and Tivoli/IBM. Prior to co-founding ThisQuarter, Rob founded M2K, a marketing agency that helped high-tech companies—both big and small—with branding, advertising, direct marketing, internet marketing, event marketing and Web design. Under his leadership, M2k became one of the leading U.S. agencies specializing in high-tech marketing and was recognized as the fourth fastest-growing company in Austin in 2000.
Over the past 20 years, Rob has earned a reputation for his ability to reach inside the mind of the customer, understand what motivates them, and use that understanding to create powerful marketing messages that drive results. Having served as founder, President, CEO and VP of Marketing for various companies, he knows what it takes to start and build a company from the ground up. In his own words, he likes to "create something from nothing." In addition to his extensive marketing experience, Rob also created a premier B2B conference called B2BBQ as well as a thriving monthly marketing exchange called the Breakfast Click. Rob has been published in numerous marketing journals and is frequently retained as a speaker at marketing events.
Dr. Andy W. Neillie, CSP, Training Specialist
Dr. Neillie is a communication and training specialist. Over the past 20 years, he has worked as a corporate trainer and conference speaker delivering workshops on leadership, sales and customer service for Fortune 500 companies, small and mid-sized companies and professional and non-profit organizations. Dr. Neillie combines his background in management and sales with strong speaking abilities to motivate clients and audiences to take actions that benefit them and their organizations. Dr. Neillie’s recent clients include AFLAC, Ashland Chemical, Boston Scientific, Cisco Systems, CNA, GE Healthcare, Google, Hewlett-Packard, KPMG, Merrill Lynch, Pfizer, PwC, SunTrust, UBS and Vanguard. Dr. Neillie is the author of “The Golden Principles” leadership book.
Chris Magdelain, Design Specialist
Chris is a proven design professional with a deep background in B2B marketing communications. With over 12 years of industry experience working with Fortune 500 and SMB clients, he combines strong design skills with technical and business expertise to create revenue-generating websites, brand design, sales collateral, interactive tools and direct mail campaigns. He is a communication and presentation specialist who delivers first-class graphic design, brand development, print design, web design and marketing collateral design. Chris has over 6 years experience in enterprise application front-end user interface and usability design. He is a member of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) and GDPG (Graphic Designer Professionals Group).
Newt Hamlin, Advisor
Newt is a veteran entrepreneur, investor and CEO. Following graduate studies in communications and business at Northwestern and UT/Austin, and five years experience with Fortune 100 companies, he co-founded his first company, a New Orleans marketing firm, in the early '70s. Since then, he has founded four other companies, held a large stake and served as CEO of three others, and become an active angel investor. In the past five years, Newt has served in CEO roles for companies with such diverse product offerings as network management, continuous speech software applications, and a linear accelerator producing radioisotopes for nuclear medicine. With those and two other private companies, he has been instrumental in raising more than $72-million in financing. Newt has long supported charitable, community and educational organizations.
